What bunny brought me

What bunny brought me

The Easter Bunny visited our house yesterday. An Easter basket for Travis and See's peanut brittle for Brian, and candy for everyone, but he brought me yarn! This is what it looked like, on the dining room table. Brown Sheep Nature Spun for the ears, and Idena Happy for the face. (Brian had fun at Suzoo's Wool Works--www.suzooswoolworks.com--in Costa Mesa; they have such great yarns. I love my bunny gift.

I love it! A little home for my cellphone holder. I can see why felting is so addicting. Now I can't wait to finish my Booga bag.

Done, but not yet felted

Before you felt, the item is floppy and kind of misshapen. But it's done, amazingly. As I said, it's the little things...

It's underway...

Double pointed needles are so fun.

A cell phone holder's meager beginnings

It's the little things... I needed a cell phone holder but didn't want one of those plastic holder thingies or some leather and plastic covering. I wanted to make it. Of course the time it took me to make it, I could have bought five of those things. Never used double pointed needles before and as Debbie Stoller says in Stitch 'n Bitch, at first it was a bit like wrestling an octupus.

Knitting with Driving

Knitting with Driving

I knew I was obsessed, but until today I didn't realize the extent. On my way to see Dr. Ron, my acupuncturist, and on the way home, while sitting at red lights, I picked up my knitting. That's what you see here--a Booga bag that I began over the weekend--and I'd knit a stitch or two or three, depending on the length of the light.
