Soleil tank top

I finished the Soleil tank top (from www.knitty.com) a while ago but had gobs of computer trouble and am now about caught up. Here's the lovely tank, created with Cascade Elite cotton, which I love.

The detail is gorgeous, don't you think?

I printed out the pattern from knitty.com about a year and a half ago, not long after I started knitting, and just knew it was beyond my abilities. About two months ago, the time had come. It was fairly easy.

On day one of my good friends was admiring a clapotis that I made and I was wearing the tank. I said, "I made this, too."

She said, "Oh, I didn't think you could--"

"Make something that looks this complex, you were going to say, weren't you?" I said.

"No! No!" she said.

But I knew.
