Log cabin blankie progress

I started this in August and here it is, maybe halfway done, from Mason Dixon. I haven't been working on it straight through, but it's a nice project to have, when you want to do some mindless knitting.

Cat with stash

Yesterday I went into organizing mode and poured a lot of the yarn in the house onto the bed to re-organize. Of course Rosie had to find a place among it, though she was rather polite and left it alone.

Felted pumpkins

Aren't these just the cutest? From knitty.com. What you see are a large pumpkin and a smaller one. The small one would have gone smaller had I felted it more. I also used dark green olive yarn for the stem instead of brown, as the pattern called for. Cute, huh?

Felted intarsia guitar strap

Here's the felted intarsia guitar strap called "Guitarsia" that I made for Brian. And here he is--and his guitar--modeling it. The technique is very cool. You knit the entire strap, then embroider around the symbols/shapes, and then felt to size. I've charted the strap and am now selling the pattern for $7. When my web site is up, it will be easier to pay. For now, go to Paypal and use my email address: bdemarcob@earthlink.net. (I spent so many hours--days, actually--charting this pattern, which is why I'm selling it rather than posting the instructions here.) What you'll receive is a Word doc chart, via email, a sketch of the embroidery, and printed instructions. Any questions, email me at bdemarcob@earthlink.net.
