Jaywalker socks

I'm making these socks and I love the pattern. So fun to see the zigzagging pattern emerge.

Thanks, Deborah, for posting your pics of the socks.

Valentine's Day

Rose petals on the floor leading from the bedroom door to the dining room table (in our cottage's living room) where Valentine's Day treats awaited.

Last night, bleary-eyed, I knit a lil heart for Brian. He has one from last year, or the year before, that I knit that's hanging from the rear view mirror of his van. Here is another.

Socks and French Girl Fantine sweater

When I saw a French Girl ad in Interweave Knits, I knew I had to make this sweater. I used the yarn called for--Rowan Big Wool--in the color shown in the pattern (Glamour). I'm a loose knitter, so I used all three skeins. I think I had an inch of yarn left when I was done. Believe me, I was panicking there at the end. I love the sweater. Just the right amount of warmth for winter in Southern California.

Here are also socks I made for Travis using Schoeller Stahl Hobby Kids yarn, 60% acrylic, 40% cotton. I love this yarn for socks.
